![]() Note, while ivan is the filters guru, if you are new to Inkscape, the Filters Editor is probably a bit too advanced for you, imo (unless you know other graphics programs very well). I think the closest thing you can do is use Adjustments > Curves to shift the hue of the pixels, but this is an indirect way of doing it, and it will be very difficult to hit a given target colour (although perhaps not impossible with a bit of maths). But if it doesn't, you can make it transparent with the Document Properties dialog - instructions in same tutorial. Once you select your image, you are going to need to add an Alpha channel to the image so you can achieve a transparent background. Please read my tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6616 It will remove your black background, and I assume make it transparent. Another way is to choose the paint bucket and choose black colour with low Transparency - Alpha and use it on the selected area to add a transparent black. ![]() As for making the background transparent, Inkscape backgrounds are transparent by default.Īctually in Trace Bitmap, there's the SIOX Foreground Selection option. and lossless compression, as well as animation and alpha transparency. When selecting rectangle select option button and pressing Delete - the content gets white color (Pinta gets transparent). After you have traced it, you can use the Replace Color extension, to replace the white(Extensions menu > Color > Replace Color). WebP is an image file format developed by Google intended as a replacement for JPEG, PNG. If you do need it vectored, then indeed, Trace Bitmap is your best option. Is there some reason that you particulary need to have in vector format? Because otherwise, what you want to do would better be done in a raster graphics program (such as GIMP), since it's already in raster format (GIF). png if you want to keep the transparent background, or else it will revert back to being a solid color again.
